Assistant Manager | Springvale

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Full Time Assistant Manager to join the PLG team at Highways in Springvale. Your management skills will be use in supporting the achievement of set financial targets, leading and inspiring the team, co-creating the best experiences for our clients and ensuring compliance with all external bodies.  Highways is located in the hub of suburban south-east Melbourne on the perimeter of Ladbrokes Park (Sandown Racecourse).Featuring a family friendly bistro with a designated kids play area, great service and a relaxed atmosphere making it the perfect dining experiences for all to enjoy. Along with an extensive modern menu with daily specials, Highways caters to both children and adults alike.Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) operating as part of The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is proud to be recognised as a 2022, 2023 & 2024 Winner of The Australian Business Awards for Employer of Choice.What will my duties include?- Assisting with the achievement of set financial targets.- Stock control and management.- Ensure front-of-house ambiance and appearance are appropriate at all times.- Staff management including; rostering, training, and performance management.- Coordination, execution, and evaluation of promotions.- Manage venue auditing and compliance requirements.The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.What we are looking for: - Previous experience in hospitality management.- Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA).- Current Victorian Responsible Service of Gambling Certificate (RSG).- Current Victorian Gaming Employee Licence.- Food Handlers Certificate.- TAB Compliance.- Energetic and positive can-do attitude.- Ability to work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.- Full working rights in Australia.
