We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Full Time Venue Manager to join the PLG team at The Glasshouse in Caulfield East. The successful candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and expert knowledge of current gaming legislation and compliance requirements.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the venue with an emphasis on customer service where you will lead and coach your team, hit all gaming revenue targets including loyalty KPIs, compliance and back-of-house reporting.
Centrally located in Caulfield East right next to the train station and on the edge of Melbourne’s spectacular Caulfield Racecourse, home of the Melbourne Racing Club. The Caulfield Glasshouse is one of the best original pubs in Melbourne. With all day dining and plenty of entertainment available it is the perfect location for a day out with friends, to celebrate a special event, or a casual dinner.

What will my duties include?
- Ensuring the venue achieves the set financial targets.
- Preparing reports accurately and ensuring they are submitted on time.
- Coaching, mentoring, and leading the team.
- Ensuring recruitment is accurately planned and labour is forecast in line with budget.
- Ensuring the venue is compliant with all external bodies.
- Developing a venue strategy to deliver on key items in the overall business strategy.
- Ensuring a standard of customer service is set in the venue and all employees are trained in accordance.
The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.
What we are looking for:
- Business-related qualifications preferred or 5+ years of industry experience.
- Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA).
- Current Victorian Responsible Service of Gambling Certificate (RSG).
- Current Victorian Gaming Employee Licence.
- Food Handlers Certificate.
- TAB Compliance.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage staff effectively.
- High level of communication skills.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
